Phaze Concrete and Habitat for Humanity Partnership

Phaze Concrete‘s excellent reputation makes a partnership with Habitat for Humanity a match made in heaven. Habitat for Humanity, founded by Millard and Linda Fuller, started with one home on the Koinonia Farm, a community farm outside of Americus, Georgia. That first home was built to replace the shack which housed Beau, Emma and their five children. Going from an uninsulated home with no indoor plumbing, to a concrete home complete with bathroom, kitchen and heating system, was life-changing for Beau and Emma.

For three years the Fullers worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo, working towards building a program similar to Habitat for Humanity. In 1976, they returned to the United States and together with a community of supporters started Habitat for Humanity International. The program has grown exponentially since that time and has helped more than 29 million people all over the globe.

Phaze Concrete has joined forces with Habitat for Humanity and is using many years of experience in the concrete industry to build strong, dependable homes for those who might not ever be able to own a home. The program uses volunteers and donations from construction companies to provide time and materials to build the home. Each homeowner works alongside of the volunteers to build their own home. Phaze Concrete has graciously allowed its employees to use company time to volunteer for the charity of their choice. One such charity is Habitat for Humanity.

Companies like Phaze Concrete, along with financial supporters, are the foundation of Habitat for Humanity. Without the help of all involved, the program could not survive. The non-profit organization also sponsors restore and resell stores that carry furniture, appliances, household items and building materials, all at a reduced cost. As these stores are individually owned and operated, they provide local stability and self-reliance.

Giving back is more than just a help to others. It is a way for individuals and companies to be a vital part of building community. Phaze Concrete is excited to be a part of Habitat for Humanity as they contribute to ‘paving the way to success’ for home recipients.
