Former UC Berkeley registrar and director of admissions Robert Bailey returns to San Diego, California, to take on a new role at technology firm CollegeSource, Inc.

More than 15 years on, and following almost eight years in Singapore, Robert Bailey has returned to San Diego-based technology company CollegeSource, Inc., where the former UC Berkeley registrar and director of admissions previously served as senior vice president. Building software that aids staff and students within higher education, Bailey shares further details of his move back to California’s beautiful Pacific coast to once again join the CollegeSource team.

Robert Bailey first joined CollegeSource, Inc. in 2001, where he served as senior vice president of the company until 2003. “Requested to compliment the president and report to the chairman of the board, I provided assessments on administration, marketing, production, and product satisfaction,” he explains.

Previously a registrar and the director of admissions at UC Berkeley, Robert Bailey has also worked for the University of Oklahoma, Governors State University in Park Forest South, Illinois, and the Department of State in Washington, D.C.

Elsewhere, Robert Bailey, UC Berkeley former director of admissions, has spent time in the global financial center and island city-state of Singapore in Southeast Asia. “While in Singapore for almost eight years, I served as the dean of American College, the vice president for records at Transnational, and as a senior lecturer for Temasek Polytechnic in its information studies program,” he reveals.

Robert Bailey, UC Berkeley former registrar and director of admissions, has previously spoken at length about his fondly remembered education, his time in the U.S. Air Force, life in Singapore, his professional highlights, and the life-long commitment he’s made to Christianity.

He’s also recently shared a fascinating insight into the history of UC Berkeley, where he served as a registrar and the director of admissions, and has responded to news of China’s ongoing coronavirus outbreak, having personally spent time in the country during his period living in Singapore.

Now returning to CollegeSource, Inc. after more than 15 years, Robert Bailey will use his two decades of successful records management experience, including in government and private enterprise, to assist the technology company in creating solutions for higher education.

“Founded in 1971, today, more than 2,000 universities and colleges, plus millions of users worldwide, utilize CollegeSource products for academic planning, degree audit, and transfer credit evaluation and articulation,” explains Bailey.

“The company’s mission is to maximize human potential by expanding awareness of educational and career opportunities,” he adds, wrapping up, “and I’m excited to have rejoined the CollegeSource team in San Diego.”
