So, you’re thinking about getting into multifamily real estate? Or maybe you’re already in the business and wondering what an agent’s typical day looks like. Either way, you’ve come to the right place! Keep reading to get a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of a multifamily real estate agent.

8:00 AM – Wake up and get dressed for the day. Make sure to wear something professional yet comfortable since you’ll be doing a lot of walking (and maybe even some running) today.
8:30 AM – Grab a quick breakfast on your way out the door. You’ll be meeting clients soon, so you don’t want to start your day on an empty stomach.
9:00 AM – Your first meeting is with a potential buyer interested in one of your listings. Show them around the property and answer any questions they have.
10:30 AM – Time for a coffee break! You’ll need it to keep your energy up for the rest of the day.
11:00 AM – Next up is an appointment with a client looking to list their property. Show them some comparable properties in the area and help them determine what their listing price should be.
12:30 PM – Lunch time! You might be tempted to just grab something quick on the go but resist the urge. Take this time to sit down and enjoy a real meal; you deserve it after all those showings.
1:30 PM – Back to work! You’ve got a few more appointments scheduled this afternoon, including one with another potential buyer and one with someone thinking about selling their investment property.
5:00 PM – Head home for the day and relax before dinner. You might want to spend time catching up on paperwork or returning any phone calls you missed during the day.
7:00 PM – Dinner with family or friends. Since you’re usually pretty busy the week, weekends are a great time to catch up with loved ones over a good meal.
9:00 PM – Finally, time to unwind before bed. Maybe watch TV, read a book, or just chat about your day with your roommates or spouse.
10:30 PM – Lights out! Tomorrow is another busy day, so you’ll need your rest.

As you can see, being a multifamily real estate agent is no walk in the park! It’s important to be organized, efficient, and, most importantly, knowledgeable about the market if you want to succeed in this business. But it just might be worth it if you love working with people and helping them find their dream home (or investment property).
