John Zimmel lays out a few tips for budding magicians and creating magical experiences
John Zimmel is a young entrepreneur that’s full of ideas, energy, and momentum. He owns four main business, Grass Fed Audio, West 35 Media, Nameless Productions, and his parent communications company, Labyrinth35 X. He also has a side project in magic.
Invictus Magic, a magic-entertainment company that sells over 15,000 products, serves as more than a passion project for John. In fact, he owns 30% of the company! John Zimmel and Invictus Magic help magicians distribute and promote their magic products. Through his media companies, John Zimmel also helps budding and mature magicians alike promote their brand through social media campaigns.
As a magician himself, John Zimmel understands the barriers that involve breaking into the magic industry.
“The key to breaking into the magic industry is first believing you can,” said John Zimmel of Greenwich, CT. “Second, practice. Practice niche tricks and practice in front of an audience, even its your younger brother or a corner on the street.”
“Magic is a great business to break into,” said John Zimmel. “You do not need to be a David Blaine to put smiles on people’s faces or entertain a crowd.”
John continued, “And remember first and foremost that you are an entertainer. You can captivate an audience with even the most basic of tricks.”
Some basic crowd pleaser magic tricks include basic mind reading, a color changing card, rubics cube magic , and vanishing coin.
