Cancer awareness advocate and entrepreneur Rahim Hassanally shines a spotlight on upcoming initiatives for early 2020.

A renowned entrepreneur originally from Texas and today based in California, automotive industry veteran Rahim Hassanally is also a keen advocate for cancer awareness. Having raised more than $10,000 for cancer research and awareness programs in recent years, Hassanally shines a spotlight on a handful of upcoming initiatives set to take place in the first half of 2020 as the fight against the disease continues.

“January 2020,” Hassanally begins, “will mark National Cervical Cancer Screening Month, also known as Cervical Health Awareness Month, among a variety of other health-focused initiatives.”

These, he says, include National Healthy Weight Week, set to be held toward the end of the month. “January,” Hassanally adds, “is the perfect opportunity to focus on New Year’s resolutions surrounding making healthy choices; something which is key to preventing and fighting against cancer.”

February 2020 then marks National Cancer Prevention Month, according to Hassanally. “Tuesday, February 4, 2020, is also World Cancer Day,” explains the entrepreneur and cancer awareness advocate. “World Cancer Day is a global event with the objective of reaching as much of the world’s population as possible,” Hassanally reveals. Every action, he says, has an impact. “World Cancer Day is intended to demonstrate to the world that we can all get involved in the fight against cancer,” adds the awareness advocate.

Next, March marks Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, according to Rahim Hassanally. “April, meanwhile, plays host to World Health Day and National Cancer Control Month,” he points out. Heading into summer, May, Hassanally says, is Melanoma and Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, and National Cancer Research Month. “June 2020,” he goes on, “then plays host to National Cancer Survivors Day.”

Various other initiatives will then follow from July through December 2020, including National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Rahim Hassanally is a particular advocate for breast cancer awareness and has successfully raised more than $10,000 for breast cancer charities alone in recent years. “It’s vital,” he adds, wrapping up, “that we continue to promote cancer awareness and research into all forms of the disease if we’re to find a cure and save millions of lives around the world every year.”

Based in Fairfield, California, Rahim Hassanally is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, a private Methodist research university in University Park, Texas. Born and raised in Texas before relocating to the so-called Golden State to pursue his entrepreneurial endeavors, Texas native and automotive industry veteran Hassanally’s professional accolades include receiving recognition as the 18th annual Urban Wheel Awards ‘Urban Dealer of the Year’ and making the Automotive News ‘Top 40 Under 40’ list. A keen advocate for cancer awareness, he’s also a National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy graduate, and a more-than-ten-year member of the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers.
