Robert Thomson Revisits Decades of Success with Waterfront Properties

Veteran real estate agent and luxury property mogul Robert Thomson looks back on more than 30 years of success in the industry.

 

As owner and co-founder of Waterfront Properties, Robert Thomson has enjoyed more than 30 years of real estate success. A leading luxury property specialist based in Jupiter, South Florida, Thomson looks back on his decades-long career, inspired by his mother and fellow Waterfront Properties co-founder, Joan Thomson.

 

Robert ‘Rob’ Thomson was thrust into the world of high-end real estate at a young age. “I was an unwitting but very willing student in the Joan Thomson School of Real Estate,” he jokes.

 

Thomson has since gone on to be inducted into Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate’s famous Billionaires Club. At the time, in 2012, he was only the 21st person to have been made a part of the exclusive group. Seven years on, Thomson still retains the title of youngest broker ever to earn a place in the highly prestigious industry circle.

 

Robert Thomson and Waterfront Properties are today touted to be responsible for in excess of $2 billion in total real estate sales. “You’ve got to be passionate about real estate, and not just trying to make an effort,” suggests Thomson of his success in the luxury home market.

 

Waterfront Properties is marketed as the largest purveyor of luxury real estate in Palm Beach and Martin County.

 

At the helm of the leading South Florida luxury property agency, since he took over from his mother in 2010, Thomson directs more than 100 real estate agents. “There’s been no shortage of hard work and dedication,” he explains.

 

Thomson’s introduction to real estate came at a young age, starting when he was a boy, with his mother a leading and well-known Jupiter-area realtor at the time.

 

Joan Thomson would, in 1987, go on to change the name of her existing real estate business to Waterfront Properties. “It was then that the company which has today evolved into Waterfront Properties and Club Communities was born,” explains Rob.

 

Waterfront Properties and Club Communities sets itself apart from the competition thanks to a unique online marketing model, according to Thomson. “We also employ cutting-edge technology and have established exclusive affiliations with numerous prestigious international real estate networks,” he adds.

 

This, says Thomson, has allowed Waterfront Properties to truly dominate the Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast luxury property markets.

 

“Accordingly, we’ve successfully established ourselves as the number one brand for luxury homes in South Florida,” he adds, wrapping up.
