Rodin Younessi Teamed up With Professional Racer Raphael Matos for the 2012 Baltimore Sports Car Challenge

Rodin Younessi is a motorsports legend, competing in races for years and investing in a string of high-volume dealerships across the country. In 2012, Mr. Younessi teamed up with renowned Brazilian racing driver Raphael Matos for the 2012 Baltimore Sports Car Challenge presented by Street and Racing Technology.

 

Though he’s specialized in other professional backgrounds, Rodin Younessi has found great success in the motorsports industry. Since an early age, Mr. Younessi channeled his passion by racing automobiles and motorcycles in competitions while pursuing other professional endeavors. However, his love for motorsports eventually led him to purchase a Lamborghini dealership in the Palm Bay area as well as some of the highest-volume Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country.

 

Rodin Younessi has competed against some of the world’s top drivers in races such as the U.S. F2000 National Championship for Pabst Racing Services (which he competed in 2011), and the JDC Motorsports in the series National Class. During these races, Mr. Younessi made seven starts and finished in 4th place of the season in the championship standings. He also finished in the National Class at 12th during race 2 at Road America. In addition, Rodin Younessi competed in a pair of F2000 Championship Series races at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2011.

 

 

2012  Performance Tech Motorsports

Announced the pairing of Rodin Younessi and Raphael Matos for the year’s upcoming team driver line up. Younessi and Matos went on to compete together at the 2012 Baltimore Grand Prix presented by SRT, demonstrating complimentary racing talent.

 

 

“The LMPC car was very comfortable to drive, and the setup the Performance Tech crew had on the car got me up to speed quickly,” says Rodin Younessi. “I have never driven on the Michelin tires. They were very consistent during the entire test, which was a pleasure.”

 

 

 2012 Baltimore Sports Car Challenge

A multi-class sports car and GT motor race that was held during fall in the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. The competition was the eighth round of the 2012 American Le Mans Series season. The second race of the Baltimore Sports Car Challenge. The competition lasted for two hours and included 67 laps of the 3.3-kilometer circuit. Totaling a racing distance of 218 kilometers.

 

 

Of the pairing of Rodin Younessi and Raphael Matos (2009 INDYCAR Rookie of the Year). Competition crew chief Frank Parzych was highly optimistic.
